Comics coincidence? I think not.

Comics are the topics in Chuckbert's and Izzy's recent posts. I love comics and cartoons so much. I have all the Doonesbury books, all the Foxtrot books, both Agnes compilations, Calvin and Hobbes, Bloom County, and the complete cartoons of New Yorker magazine. I subscribe to two email comix lists.

What are your faves?

What, besides Cathy, do you hate? I hate Mallard Fillmore.

My two current faves are Get Fuzzy and Mutts. Pearls Before Swine and Lio are other good ones. I can often relate Baby Blues and Zits. I read Rex Morgan, MD! And of course, all the ones you mentioned, P-.

I hate BC, and its partner The Wizard of Id. I skip more than I read these days.

Did you see today's Lio?

For Better or For Worse. It's Canadian. When Liz was teaching in "the North," they showed her touristing around in the area where I live. The "jump in icy water all at once or a little at a time" ones are posted on the wall of our more ramshackle camp.

And yeah, Get Fuzzy and Mutts. Or YESH! I should say. They aren't in our paper but my sister saves them for us.

Hating a comic strip seems like a lot of work to me. I save that for particular kinds of legumes (lima beans).

The best comic strips feature talking animals:
Sherman's Lagoon
Pearls Before Swine
Get Fuzzy
Pooch Café
Mutts

Then there is the one I have a link on my blog's sidebar:
Liō

Of course there's Dilbert and Bizarro.

And I also read Arlo and Janis.

If I get behind in the newspapers I just skip the news and make sure I don't miss the comics.

I'm a total slug! I don't read any comics anymore. I guess I should start up again at least on Sundays. I read a lot of books...does that count?
